In our workshop in Barbarano Mossano, near Vicenza, we design and make custom showers and bathtubs in Corian\u00ae and Krion\u00ae for high-end and luxury bathrooms: shower trays made to the exact size of the recess, flush with the floor if you wish, walls in the same material with no grout lines or visible silicone, freestanding or built-in bathtubs.<\/p>\n

Why choose a Solid Surface shower instead of a standard tray?<\/h3>\n

The shower tray is made to the exact size of the recess, with no cutting or adapting. The walls can be clad in the same material too: the shower becomes a single shell with no grout lines, no visible silicone and no joints where mould can form.<\/p>\n

Can I have a shower flush with the floor?<\/h3>\n

Yes. The material is milled to integrate the drain invisibly, with the surface sloping gently towards it without interruption.<\/p>\n

Is the surface slippery?<\/h3>\n

Not if you choose the version with an anti-slip texture, built into the material and designed for wet areas.<\/p>\n

What shapes and sizes can you make?<\/h3>\n

Sizes are completely free, even in the most irregular spaces: recesses with non-parallel walls, non-standard corners, leftover spaces from a renovation. The tray can be rectangular, square or shaped, with a central, side or linear drain, a colour matching or contrasting with the walls and a thickness from ultra-thin to standard.<\/p>\n

What kinds of bathtubs do you make?<\/h3>\n

Freestanding bathtubs thermoformed in a single block, built-in bathtubs with a rim integrated into the top, double bathtubs for suites and wellness areas, bathtubs with an integrated headrest and chrome or coloured drains.<\/p>\n

How do you clean it and how long does it last?<\/h3>\n

The material is non-porous: it is easy to clean and resists personal care products and household detergents. It is warm to the touch, unlike ceramic, and has no joints that darken over time.<\/p>\n

How do you work, from survey to installation?<\/h3>\n

Every project starts with an on-site survey: we measure the space, gather your requirements and those of your designer, and prepare a technical drawing for approval before production. We work with Corian\u00ae DuPont and Krion\u00ae Porcelanosa, and installation is carried out by fitters who specialise in Solid Surface for showers and bathrooms.<\/p>\n

Who is GP Design?<\/h3>\n

We are an artisan workshop founded in 1978 in Barbarano Mossano, in the province of Vicenza. We work on upper-mid-range, high-end and luxury projects, and showers and bathtubs are among the most complex pieces we make: they require experience in thermoforming and precise measurements.<\/p>\n

Yes. Besides residential projects we make showers and bathtubs for hotels, resorts and wellness centres in the Veneto and across Italy, including double bathtubs for suites and wellness areas.<\/p>\n

Why is Solid Surface suited to a facility with many guests?<\/h3>\n

There are no grout lines or visible silicone, so mould has nowhere to form and cleaning is quick. The material is non-porous and resists detergents, and surface scratches are removed without replacing the piece.<\/p>\n

Can you make the whole bathroom in the same material?<\/h3>\n

Yes. Shower, walls, bathtub, washbasins and countertops can all be made in the same material for a continuous, coordinated space, as in the villa in Treviso clad in Krion.<\/p>\n

Do you also work for schools and public buildings?<\/h3>\n

Yes. For example, we made the Krion bathroom of a nursery school in Sandrigo, with solutions designed for children.<\/p>\n

Do you work with architects and designers?<\/h3>\n

Yes. We start from the designer\u2019s brief and prepare a technical drawing for approval before production, then we handle installation with our specialist fitters.<\/p>\n
