This project involved the fabrication of a custom backlit Solid Surface reception desk for the Fassa Bortolo headquarters. The piece features an integrated backlit company logo, developed to meet the representational requirements of a corporate reception environment.
White Solid Surface was selected for its workability and surface quality: compact, non-porous, and suited to integrating lighting systems without compromising visual continuity. The logo backlighting was achieved directly within the body of the desk, making use of the material’s translucency.
The backlit Solid Surface reception desk was produced with seamless, continuous surfaces and no visible joints. Finishes were defined according to project requirements, in keeping with the reception environment context.
The project was executed on a bespoke commission basis, with fabrication carried out in the workshop and installation performed on site. Each stage, from shaping to surface finishing, was managed in-house, consistent with GP Design’s approach to custom reception furniture in Vicenza.
