This project involved creating the bar counter top for the McCafé area of a McDonald’s in Treviso. GP Design made the worktop from Corian Cameo White, an ivory shade with warm undertones, which spans the entire length of the counter. It covers both the customer-facing display section and the internal area used by staff.
Corian Cameo White was chosen for its uniform, non-porous surface that resists stains, wear, and professional cleaning products, even with frequent use. These qualities are essential in a busy food and beverage setting. The ivory shade offers a gentle contrast with the light wood slat front panel of the counter, enhancing the warm and inviting feel of the McCafé. As a seamless solid surface, the bar counter top presents a clean and consistent look across the entire working area. The joint-free finish makes cleaning and sanitizing easier, which is vital in food service.
The linear counter top extends across both operational sides, with the internal surface at a standard bar height, recessed sink, and equipment for preparing coffee and beverages. The baked goods display cabinet is part of the counter and features a Corian top that matches the main surface, ensuring color and material consistency throughout the design.
The project was done on a commercial commission basis, with all Corian fabrication completed in the workshop. This included cutting and shaping the surface, routing the integrated sink, and bonding the joints invisibly. Installation occurred on site, coordinated with the main furniture supplier. Each step of GP Design’s work was managed in-house to maintain quality control throughout the project.
