Mobile TV su Misura in Rovere Cannettato e MDF Laccato Bronzo

Private Residence, Milan – Custom Cane Oak and Bronze Lacquered TV Unit

This project involved the fabrication of a custom TV unit for a private residence in Milan. The piece is a fully personalised element, designed to occupy the entire back wall of the living room and become the focal point of the space, in visual dialogue with the wall-mounted television and integrated audio system.

Cane oak was selected for its tactile and material quality, making it well suited to a contemporary residential furniture piece: the vertical groove pattern enriches the front panel visually, while the MDF structure with bronze lacquer finish coordinates the overall composition with the bronzed brass handles. As a custom cane oak TV unit, the piece communicates warmth and refined craftsmanship from the moment you enter the room.

The custom TV unit was produced with full-height cane oak doors, an open display bay in the lower central section, and an integrated plinth that visually lightens the overall mass. The smoked glass internal shelving and bronze-toned upper surface complete a proportionate composition consistent with the architectural context of the room.

The project was executed on a bespoke commission basis, with MDF fabrication and bronze finish application carried out in the workshop and assembly performed on site. Each stage, from shaping to handle installation, was managed in-house to ensure quality control throughout the entire process. Delivering a custom cane oak TV unit of this specification reflects GP Design’s approach to contract work, where direct process management is an integral part of the service. For residential environments that require a bespoke TV cabinet built to precise dimensions and finished to a high standard, GP Design operates entirely on a made-to-order basis.

GP Design is a specialist craft workshop focused on Solid Surface fabrication, based in Vicenza, Italy. It produces custom surfaces for residential and commercial environments, working on private commissions and architectural projects.
